Escape to our 'Couples Only' Cabin in Thornton for your unique and romantic farmstay in the Lockyer Valley, QLD is truly an amazing weekend destination. The Cabin features enclosed patio, self-catering kitchenette, luxury bathroom, an outdoor firepit, large top deck, rustic charm and beautiful photo opportunities.
The Cabin can hold many different types of small events including: Elopements, Micro Weddings, Engagements, Health Retreats, Art Classes, Baby Shower, Gender Reveal, Anniversaries, Birthday Gatherings, Photography Venue.
Whether you're relaxing on the one of the two decks with a glass of wine, toasting a marshmallow over the fire pit, playing classic board games, returning from a hike, reading a great book, cycling the country road, private picnic on the lawned areas, hosting an intimate event or watching a movie on a rainy day, every detail is designed for peace, privacy, and reconnection.
About 'The Cabin'
After three years of renovation, 'The Cabin, Ghost Gum Gully', a former tiny home, finally opened to guests in December 2024. Located in Thornton QLD in the heart of the scenic Lockyer Valley. Our special couples only Cabin, is the perfect little nature escape for those wishing to enjoy a little peace and privacy in a rural setting. Nestled on our 30 acre property, The Cabin offers a unique and secluded stay.
Think wildlife, rolling hills, nature and just being together !
Reconnect with each other at The Cabin, Ghost Gum Gully. A couples only escape in the Lockyer Valley where you can soak up the sweeping valley views, spot local wildlife, and watch breathtaking sunsets from this private retreat.
Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, planning a romantic proposal, or simply craving a peaceful, kid-free getaway, our couples only Cabin offers you the perfect place to unwind, relax, and recharge.
We also provide Micro Wedding/Elopement/Engagement Packages for up to 15 guests. Bride and Groom accomodation for 3 nights and the venue for a day.
The Cabin is ideal for two, but we can accommodate up to four guests with a comfortable queen size sofa bed available.
As much as we love kids and pets, The Cabin is an adults only retreat, and we have a No Pets, No Kids, No Judgement policy.

Our stay was exactly what we needed - quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The environment is beautiful, and The Cabin and all its little cosy areas are perfect. Love all the little treasures around the place. Everything has value here, if it doesn't work as originally intended, it is repurposed and given a new life. A lot of thought and creativity has gone into making The Cabin. As strange as it may sound, this space encourages you to look within and find peace with yourself, and to be curious and explore at the same time.
